To a mixture of 6-acetyl-N-(3-(3,3-dimethyl-2-oxopyrrolidin-1-yl)-1-methyl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)pyridine-2-carboxamide (32 mg) and methanol (5.0 mL) was added sodium borohydride (5.3 mg) at room temperature, and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 3 hr. The reaction mixture was diluted with ethyl acetate, and water was added thereto. The extract was washed with water and saturated brine, dried over sodium sulfate, and concentrated under reduced pressure. The residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography (NH, ethyl acetate/hexane), and the obtained solid was washed with diisopropyl ether, and dried under reduced pressure to give the title compound (25 mg).
