The general hydrogenation procedure described herein was used with 9-nitro-5H-spiro[benzo[b]tetrazolo[1,5-d][1,4]oxazepine-4,2′-oxirane] (16 mg, 0.06 mmol) and Pd(OH)2 on carbon (3 mg), at 1 atm H2 (Balloon) in EtOH (15 mL) to give the product (yield assumed quantitative=14 mg).
