To a mixture of tert-butyl (3-(3-(6-isopropoxypyridin-2-yl)-1-tosyl-1H-indol-5-yl)-1,2,4-thiadiazol-5-yl)carbamate (0.35 g, 0.577 mmol) in DCM (10 mL) was added TFA (4 mL) at 0° C. The reaction was stirred for 2 h at RT. The solvent was then removed in vacuo and the residue was triturated with Et2O to give 3-(3-(6-isopropoxypyridin-2-yl)-1-tosyl-1H-indol-5-yl)-1,2,4-thiadiazol-5-amine (0.25 g, 85.6%). MS (ESI, pos. ion) m/z: 506.1 (M+1).
