Following the general method of example 3, cis-[4-(4-benzyloxy-phenyl)-cyclohexyl]-phenethyl-amine, (260 mg; 11% light yellow oil, MS: m/e=386.2 (M+H+)) trans-[4-(4-benzyloxy-phenyl)-cyclohexyl]-phenethyl-amine (370 mg; 15 % white crystals, MS: m/e=386.3 (M+H+)) were prepared from 4-(4-benzyloxy-phenyl)-cyclohexanone (1.8 g; 6.4 mmol) and phenetylamine (0.78 g; 6.4 mmol).
