Reaction Steps
Following the procedure of example 40b, (RS)-N-[1-(4-benzyloxy-phenyl)-3,3-dimethyl-piperidin-4-yl]-3-phenyl-propionamide (450 mg) was reduced with LiAlH4 to give (RS)-[1-(4-benzyloxy-phenyl)-3,3-dimethyl-piperidin-4-yl]-(3-phenyl-propyl)-amine as a white solid (260 mg; 60%, MS: m/e=429.4 (M+H+)).
