Procedure

586 mg of 2-(2-bromoethyl)-1,4-benzoxazin-3-one is mixed in a methanol-DMF mixture with 245 mg of sodium thiomethylate while being stirred. After 4 hours, it is concentrated by evaporation. After column chromatography, the title compound is obtained in a yield of 53%.
