Reaction Steps
m.p. 265°-268° C. with decomposition, 53.8 g, was prepared following the procedure described in Example B-2 using 44 g of 5-(4-bromobenzoyl)-6-methyl-2(1H)-pyridinone, 300 ml of p-dioxane and 35 ml of bis-(dimethylamino)-t-butoxymethane.
