Reaction Steps
1.1 A solution of 17.23 g of 3,4-diamino-2-chloropyridine and 19.46 g of 1,1′-carbonyldiimidazole in THF is stirred at room temperature for 16 hours. The product is separated off and dried, giving 17.6 g of 4-chloro-3H-imidazo[4,5-c]pyridin-2-ol (“1”).
