In the same manner as described in Example 13 by using (1RS, 3SR)-trans-1-ethyl-3-hydroxymethyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-β-carboline (300 mg), triethylamine (330 mg), CS2 (250 mg), methyl iodide (460 mg) and dimethylsulfoxide (3 ml), there is prepared the title compound (320 mg, 77%) as colorless needles, m.p. 170°-172° C. (recrystallized from aqueous ethanol). NMR (CDCl3, δ): 0.85 (t, J=7.0 Hz, 3H, C1 --CH2CH3), 2,68 (s, 3H, CSSCH3), Mass m/e: 320 (M+), 272 (M+ --CH3SH).
