Procedure
A mixture of 30.8 g (69.2 mmol) P4S10, 200.0 g (830.3 mmol) chloropropyltriethoxysilane and 32.4 g (415.3 mmol) sodium sulfide (Na2S) is initially introduced into a 500 ml three-necked flask in an argon atmosphere and is heated to 200° C. After stirring at 200° C. for 2.5 h, insoluble constituents are filtered off. All the volatile constituents are removed in vacuo. 168.5 g (79% yield) of tetrathiophosphoric acid S,S,S-tris (triethoxysilylpropyl) ester are obtained as a pale yellow clear liquid.
