The title compound is prepared from 1H-pyrrolo[3,2-c]pyridine as described in EXAMPLES 18 and 19, Part A using tert-butyl bromoacetate in place of methyl iodide. The crude product is purified by column chromatography eluting with a gradient of 3% MeOH/CH2Cl2 to 6% MeOH/CH2Cl2 to give the title compound as an oil.
