Reaction Steps
The instant compound named above is made in an analogous manner to the compound of Example 3 by reacting a one molar proportion of reactant (a) with two molar proportions of 2-tert-butyl-6-methyl-4-mercaptophenol. After recrystallization from a solvent mixture of 12:1 heptane:toluene, the compound is isolated as white crystals melting at 65°-69° C.
