The mixture of 3.0 g of tetrafluoroisophthalonitrile, 1.2 g of β-methallyl alcohol and 1.8 g of potassium fluoride in 30 ml of acetonitrile was stirred at room temperature for 10 hours. The mixture was cooled and filtered. The filtrate was evaporated under reduced pressure. After 50 ml of water was added to the residue, the mixture was extracted with carbon tetrachloride, washed with water, and dried over sodium sulfate. After evaporating carbon tetrachloride, the residue of 2.9 g (crystal) was obtained.
