Reaction Steps
This product is synthesised, in 63% yield, from 1,2,4-triazole and 1-vinyl-2-pyrrolidinone by a similar method described in Example 1. On account of the higher water solubility of this product, ethyl acetate (3×50 ml) is used to extract it from the aqueous phase during washing. The product distils as a pale yellow oil, 150°/0.05 mbar.
