At room temperature, to a mixture of racemic (2′S, 3S, 4′R)-4′-[5-chloro-2-(2-methanesulfonylamino-1,1-diethyl-2-oxo-ethoxy)-phenyl]-6-chloro-2′-(5-fluoro-2-methyl-phenyl)-spiro[3H-indole-3,3′-piperidine]-2,6′(1H)-dione (540 mg, 0.8 mmol) and acetic anhydride (98 mg, 0.96 mmol) in DCM (20 mL) was added DMAP (10 mg, 0.08 mmol) slowly. After the mixture was stirred for 2 h, the solution was washed by 0.5N HCl solution twice, dried over anhydrous Na2SO4 and concentrated. The residue was purified by flash column chromatography to give the title compound as a white solid (450 mg).
