The product of Example II (2.5 g, 0.01 m) was dissolved in MeOH (250 ml). The catalyst, PtO2 (0.5 g), was added and the mixture was hydrogenated at 42 p.s.i. for 3 hrs. Filtration and removal of the solvent in vacuo yielded a white solid. Crystallization from MeOH afforded the product as a white solid; m.p. 140°-141° C.
