A mixture of 5 (156 mg, 1 mmol) in THF (10 ml) and H2O (10 ml) is stirred at room temperature. Sodium hydroxide (50 mg, 2.5 mmol) is added to the mixture. The reaction mixture is stirred for 15 h at room temperature. The reaction mixture is acidified to pH 3˜4 with acetic acid. Water is added to the mixture and extracted with dichloromethane. The organic layer is dried over magnesium sulfate, filtered and concentrated in vacuo. Yield: quantitative.
