2-[o-(β-Dimethylamino-ethoxy)-styryl]-6-methyl-pyridine was prepared from 2-[o-(β-chloro-ethoxy)-styryl]-6-methyl-pyridine and dimethylamine, and the free base was converted into its monohydrochloride, yielding 45% of theory of the compound of the formula ##STR11## which had a melting point of 200° C.
