2-[o-(β-Dimethylamino-ethoxy)-styryl]-pyrazine was prepared from 2-[o-(β-chloro-ethoxy)styryl]-pyrazine and dimethylamine, and the free base was converted into its monohydrochloride, yielding 54% of theory of the compound of the formula ##STR13## which had a melting point of 194°-195° C.
