Reaction Steps
Method 1 of Example 1 was followed using 1 equivalent each of 4-chloro-3-nitropyridine, 3-methylpiperidin-3-ol and triethyl amine in DMF yielding 3-methyl-1-(3-nitropyridin-4-yl)piperidin-3-ol. LCMS (m/z): 238.1 (MH+); LC Rt=1.39 min.
