To a solution of N-[5-chloro-2-({3-[(methylsulfonyl)amino]benzyl}sulfanyl)phenyl]-1-benzofuran-2-sulfonamide (124 mg, 0.237 mmol) in CH2Cl2 (5 ml) was added mCPBA (57 mg, ˜0.237 mmol) and the reaction was stirred at room temperature for 1 hour. The reaction mixture was directly loaded onto Celite and purified by flash column chromatography on silica gel (50-100% EtOAc in hexane) to yield the title compound (78 mg, 61%).
