Procedure
50 mg of 6-(1H-imidazol-1-yl)-2-phenylquinazoline are suspended in 2 mL of methanol, the suspension is heated at reflux for a few minutes, and then filtered and left to evaporate slowly at room temperature, at rest. The crystals obtained are analysed. XRPD: Form C. TGA: weight loss: 6.32% (theoretical value for C17H12N4.H2O: 6.2%), TGA-IR in agreement with the IR spectrum of H2O for the released vapours.
