A suspension of 3-methyl-1-((6-methylpyridin-2-yl)methyl)-4-nitro-1H-indazole (54 mg, 0.19 mmol) in absolute EtOH (1.5 mL) was treated at ambient temperature with 10% palladium hydroxide on carbon (27 mg, 0.019 mmol). The mixture was stirred at ambient temperature under a hydrogen atmosphere for 16 hours, and then filtered through a Celite® pad, washing with EtOH. The filtrate was concentrated under reduced pressure to afford the product (36 mg) as a yellow oil.
