Procedure
1-(Trans-3-((5-bromopyrimidin-2-yl)amino)cyclobutyl)-3,3-dimethyl-1H-pyrrolo[2,3-b]pyridin-2(3H)-one (example 60, 95 mg, 0.245 mmol), cyclopropyl boronic acid (31.5 mg, 0.367 mmol), and bis(di-tert-butyl(4-dimethylaminophenyl)phosphine)dichloropalladium(II) (17.33 mg, 0.024 mmol) were mixed in 1,4-dioxane (1 msL) under an argon atmosphere. Aqueous sodium carbonate (2 M, 0.367 mL, 0.734 mmol) was added via syringe and the reaction mixture was stirred at 80° C. for 18 hrs. The reaction mixture was diluted with water and extracted with ethyl acetate. The organic layer was separated, washed with brine, dried over magnesium sulfate, and evaporated to dryness under reduced pressure. The resulting crude product was purified via silica gel flash column chromatography eluting with 0 to 100% ethyl acetate in hexanes to yield 1-(trans-3-((5-cyclopropylpyrimidin-2-yl)amino)cyclobutyl)-3,3-dimethyl-1H-pyrrolo[2,3-b]pyridin-2(3H)-one as a light yellow solid.
