Imidazole (3.55 g, 52.1 mmol) and tert-butyldimethylchlorosilane (10.21 g, 33.9 mmol) were added to a solution of 25A (4.8 g, 26.1 mmol) in CH2Cl2 (125 mL) and stirred overnight at rt. The reaction mixture was diluted with EtOAc (150 mL), washed with water and brine, dried over Na2SO4 and concentrated in vacuo. The crude product was purified by flash chromatography (loading in chloroform, 0% to 20% ethyl acetate in hexane) to yield 25B as a clear oil.
