The compound was prepared by palladium-catalyzed arylation of 2,4-dichloropyrimidine and 4-formylphenyl boronic acid: 1H NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3) δ 10.13 (s, 1H), 8.74 (d, J=5.0 Hz, 1H), 8.27 (d, J=7.8 Hz, 2H), 8.04 (d, J=7.9 Hz, 2H), 7.74 (m, 1H); EIMS m/z 218 (M+).
