At RT, 219 μl (2.31 mmol) of ethanesulphonyl chloride were added to a solution of 295 mg (about 93% pure, 1.16 mmol) of the compound of Example 25A in 7.0 ml of pyridine, and the mixture was stirred for 1 h. The pyridine was then removed on a rotary evaporator and the residue was purified by preparative HPLC [Method 20]. This gave 230 mg (about 90% pure according to LC/MS, 61% of theory) of the title compound.
