Under a hydrogen atmosphere, a mixture of 3-(benzyloxy)-5-(((tert-butyldimethylsilyl)oxy)methyl)-2-(2-fluoro-5-methoxyphenyl)pyridine (2.81 g), 10% palladium-activated carbon (280 mg) and ethyl acetate (30 mL) was stirred at room temperature for 30 min. The catalyst was filtered off, and the solvent in the filtrate was evaporated under reduced pressure to give the title compound (2.33 g) as a pale-yellow solid.
