tert-Butyl 2-(4-(5-(4-chlorophenyl)-1H-pyrazol-3-yl)phenyl)morpholine-4-carboxylate (180 mg, 0.41 mmol) was dissolved in dioxane (5.5 ml) and a solution of HCl in dioxane (4M, 1.53 ml, 6.15 mmol) was added. The reaction mixture was stirred for 2 h at 60° C. and overnight at room temperature. The solid was filtered off, washed with ether and dried in vacuo to afford 2-(4-(5-(4-chlorophenyl)-1H-pyrazol-3-yl)phenyl)morpholine hydrochloride (131 mg, 85%) as a white solid. MS (ISP): 340.1 ([{35Cl}M+H]+), 342.1 ([{37Cl}M+H]+).
