Procedure
tert-Butyl (4-{2-[(1R)-1-hydroxyethyl]-1H-imidazo[4,5-d]thieno[3,2-b]pyridin-1-yl}cyclohexyl)carbamate (0.22 g, 0.53 mmol) was treated with 4.0 M hydrogen chloride in dioxane (0.66 mL, 2.6 mmol) in methylene chloride (3 mL) at room temperature overnight. The mixture was concentrated to give the desired product as HCl salt (0.22 g, 94%). LCMS calculated for C16H21N4OS (M+H)+: m/z=317.1. Found: 317.0.
