The title compound is prepared in >99% yield (260 mg, pale brown solid) from phenyl 2-(4-(tert-butoxycarbonyl)-3-methylbenzyl)-1-oxo-2,3-dihydro-1H-pyrrolo[3,4-c]pyridine-4-carboxylate (270 mg, 0.59 mmol, Step-2) and ethylamine (0.14 mL, 1.8 mmol, 70% aqueous solution) in a similar manner to Example-435 (Method-G).
