Procedure

The title compound is prepared in 73% yield (1.02 g, an off-white solid) from 6-fluoro-5-methylnicotinic acid (1.00 g, 6.45 mmol) and 2,2-difluoroethanol instead of 2,2,2-trifluoroethanol (1.06 g, 12.9 mmol) in a similar manner to Step-1 of Amine-1.
