The title compound is prepared in 95% yield (1.2 g, a pale brown solid) from N-methoxy-N,4-dimethyl-5-(2,2,2-trifluoroethoxy)picolinamide (1.6 g, 5.8 mmol, Step-2) and lithium aluminum hydride (80 mg, 2.9 mmol) in a similar manner to Step-2 of Amine-3.
