The title compound is prepared in 88% yield (1.18 g, white solid) from 6-fluoro-5-methylnicotinic acid (1.00 g, 6.45 mmol) and cyclobutanol (837 mg, 11.6 mmol) in a similar manner to Step-1 of Amine-1.
