To a 20 ml vial 4-[[7-(2,2-dimethylpropanoyl)-5-(2-trimethylsilylethoxymethyl)-pyrrolo[2,3-b]pyrazin-2-yl]amino]benzaldehyde (30 mg, 0.070 mmol) was dissolved in methanol (5 ml) and 2-cyano-N-ethyl-acetamide (11.38 mg, 0.1000 mmol) and piperdine (0.01 ml, 0.1300 mmol) were added. The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 5 hr. The solvent was evaporated, the residue was loaded on a silica gel column and eluted with CH2Cl2 to MeOH 0-2, 3% to yield 37 mg of 2-cyano-3-[4-[[7-(2,2-dimethylpropanoyl)-5-(2-trimethylsilylethoxymethyl)pyrrolo[2,3-b]pyrazin-2-yl]amino]phenyl]-N-ethyl-prop-2-enamide.
