A solution of 4 M HCl in dioxane (0.62 mL, 2.5 mmol) was added to a stirred solution of (S)-3-((tert-butyldimethylsilyl)oxy)-1-(4-(difluoromethyl)benzyl)pyrrolidin-2-one (440 mg, 1.24 mmol, intermediate K) in dichloromethane (1.24 mL) at rt. The reaction mixture was stirred for 2 h. The reaction mixture was concentrated in vacuo to afford the desired product (368 mg, quantitative yield): LC-MS (M+H)+ 242.1.
