By a procedure analogous to that described in Example 1h, 2-chloro-5,11-dihydro-11-ethyl-8-iodo-5-methyl-6H-dipyrido[3,2-b:2',3'-e][1,4]diazepin-6-one was coupled with 3-fluorostyrene in the presence of bis(triphenylphosphine)palladium(II) chloride and triethylamine. The product was hydrogenated by a procedure analogous to that described in Example 15 to give 16 mg of the title compound, m.p. 130°-131° C. (ethyl acetate/hexanes).
