Procedure
Methoxyacetyl chloride was added dropwise to a solution of the product of Example 144 and triethylamine in ether and the mixture stirred for 24 hours and then poured into ice-cold aqueous sodium hydroxide solution. The mixture was extracted with ether and the extract washed, dried and evaporated to give an oil. which was purified by flash chromatography on a silica column using ether as eluant to give 5-[1-(4-chlorophenyl)cyclobutyl]-5-dimethylaminopentyl 2-methoxyacetate as an oil the boiling point of which was not determined.
