Procedure

Stir a solution of (2R,4R)-2-[(4S,5S)-3-acetyl-4-(3,5-difluoro-benzyl)-2,2-dimethyl-oxazolidin-5-yl]-4-(3-methyl-but-2-enyloxy)-pyrrolidine-1-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester and 10% palladium on carbon (0.02 g) in methanol (5 mL) under one atmosphere of hydrogen gas for 18 hours. Filter and evaporate to give the desired compound as a foam (0.081 g, 76%).
