The same procedure as employed in the preparation of Example 1 (step a) but using (2-butyl-1-benzofuran-3-yl)methylamine hydrochloride, triethylamine and N-dodecyl-4-formylbenzamide gave the title compound as a colorless oil (59%). 1H NMR (CDCl3, 300 MHz) δ 7.76 (m, 2H), 7.58 (m, 1H), 7.42 (m, 3H), 7.29-7.18 (m, 2H), 6.23 (m, 1H), 3.87 (m, 4H), 3.46 (m, 2H), 2.75 (t, 2H, J=7.5 Hz), 1.77-1.56 (m, 5H), 1.45-1.23 (m, 20H), 0.98-0.86 (m, 6H). HPLC (Condition A), Rt: 5.49 min (HPLC purity: 97.4%).
