43 mg (0.32 mmol) of L-methioninol was added to a solution of 100 mg (0.29 mmol) of 2-[4-(4-morpholinylmethyl)phenyl]-3-oxa-1-azaspiro[4.5]dec-1-en-4-one in 3 ml of N,N-dimethylformamide, and the mixture was stirred overnight. Water was slowly added thereto and the precipitated crystal was collected by filtration. The obtained crystal was dried under reduced pressure to obtain 65 mg (49%) of the title compound.
