To the product from step 1 (272 mg, 0.705 mmol) in methanol (3 mL) was added 2M HCl in diethyl ether (12 mL) and the resulting mixture was stirred at rt for 6 h. The solvent was removed in vacuo to obtain the title product as a solid (135 mg, 94%); MS; m/z 286 (M+H); LCMS (UV) 99%. 1H NMR (400 MHz, CD3OD) δ 1.73-1.81 (m, 1H), 2.0-2.11 (m, 2H), 2.21-2.27 (m, 1H), 3.08-3.13 (m, 2H), 3.26-3.36 (m, 2H), 3.61-3.64 (m, 1H), 7.50 (d, 2H, J=11.6 Hz), 7.35-7.39 (m, 2H), 7.15 (t, 1H, J=16 Hz); 6.96-7.01 (m, 4H)
