A mixture of 6-bromo-2-(4-methanesulfonylbenzyl)-1-oxo-4-phenyl-1,2-dihydroisoquinoline-3-carboxylic acid methyl ester (200 mg) obtained in Example 94, 10% palladium carbon (20 mg) and methanol (4 ml) was stirred under a hydrogen atmosphere for 1 hr. The catalyst was removed by filtration, and the filtrate was concentrated under reduced pressure to give the title compound (127 mg) as a colorless powder.
