2-Chloro-6-(5-cyclopropyl-1H-pyrazol-3-ylamino)-5-fluoronicotinonitrile (Method 1; 0.5 g, 1.8 mmol) and (R)-2-amino-2-(4-fluorophenyl)ethanol (0.6 g, 3.6 mmol) were added to a solution of n-BuOH (4 ml) and DIEA (0.3 g, 2.3 mmol) in a sealed tube. The reaction was heated to 140° C. for 48 hrs, then cooled to 25° C. and concentrated. The resulting residue was purified by column chromatography (DCM-MeOH=80:1) to give the title compound (0.3 g, 40%). 1H NMR (400 MHz, CD3OD) δ 7.37-7.35 (m, 3H), 7.05-7.00 (m, 2H), 5.99 (s, 1H), 5.20-5.11 (m, 1H), 3.90-3.77 (m, 2H), 1.90-1.86 (m, 1H), 1.05-0.96 (m, 2H), 0.73-0.66 (m, 2H). MS: Calcd.: 396. Found: [M+H]+ 397.
