A solution of (2-chloroquinazolin-4-yl)-(5-methyl-2H-pyrazol-3-yl)-amine (200 mg, 0.77 mmol) and 4-acetamidothiophenol (644 mg, 3.85 mmol) is refluxed in tert-butanol (3 mL) over a 20 hour period. Diethylether (10 mL) is added to the mixture and a solid forms that is collected by filtration. This solid is suspended in EtOH/H2O 1 mL/3 mL), then K2CO3 (110 mg, 0.8 mmol) is added and the suspension is stirred for 2 h at room temperature. A solid forms and is collected and dried under vacuum to give the product [2-(4-acetamidophenylsulfanyl)-quinazolin-4-yl]-(5-methyl-2H-pyrazol-3-yl)-amine.
