Reaction Steps
To (1-(4-methoxybenzyl)-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)methanol (5.01 g, 23.0 mmol) in DCM (20 mL) was added thionyl chloride (8 mL). The reaction mixture was stirred for 3 hours and concentrated to provide the desired product (6.37 g).
