Using the same reaction conditions as in Example 14, 1-(4-methyl-pyridin-3-yl)-imidazolidin-2-one (I-14b: 0.150 g, 0.847 mmol) was reacted with 6-bromo-2-methyl-quinoline (0.225 g, 1.016 mmol), 1,4-dioxane (20 mL), copper iodide (0.016 g, 0.084 mmol), trans-1,2-diamino cyclohexane (0.029 g, 0.254 mmol) and potassium phosphate (0.449 g, 2.1 mmol) to afford the crude product. Purification by column chromatography on silica gel (5% MeOH in CHCl3) afforded 115 mg of the product (43% yield).
