Using the same reaction conditions as in Example 14, 1-(4-methyl-pyridin-3-yl)-imidazolidin-2-one (I-14b: 100 mg, 0.5643 mmol) was reacted with 5-bromo-2-fluoro-benzonitrile (124 mg, 0.6199 mmol), 1,4-dioxane (20 mL), copper iodide (10.7 mg, 0.056 mmol), trans-1,2-diamino cyclohexane (19.4 mg, 0.169 mmol) and potassium phosphate (300 mg, 1.413 mmol) to afford the crude product. Purification by column chromatography on silica gel (2% MeOH in CHCl3) afforded 110 mg of the product (65.7% yield).
