1-Benzothiazol-6-yl-4-trifluoromethyl-imidazolidin-2-one (I-170b: 100 mg, 0.348 mmol) was reacted with 3-iodo-4-methyl-pyridine (83.9 mg, 0.383 mmol), Pd2(dba)3 (15.9 mg, 0.0174 mmol), Xantphos (30.2 mg, 0.0528 mmol), cesium carbonate (170 mg, 0.152 mmol) and 1,4-dioxane (10 mL) to afford the crude product. Purification by column chromatography on silica gel (2% methanol in chloroform) followed by preparative HPLC afforded 10 mg of the product (7.5% yield).
