Acetic acid (0.1 mL, 1.36 mmol) and 1M hydrazine in THF (4 mL, 2.72 mmol) were added to 1-[3-fluoro-4-(2,2,2-trifluoro-acetyl)-phenyl]-3-(4-methyl-pyridin-3-yl)-imidazolidin-2-one (I-197b: 100 mg, 0.272 mmol) in dry THF (2 mL). The resulting mixture was stirred at 150° C. overnight. The reaction was monitored by TLC (5% MeOH in CHCl3). The reaction mixture was partitioned between water and chloroform. The organic layer was dried over Na2SO4 and concentrated. Purification by column chromatography on silica gel (4% MeOH in CHCl3), followed by preparative HPLC afforded 23 mg of the product (23.46% yield).
